2nd Shift - Warehouse Lead - Shipping & Receiving

Shift:          2:00PM - 10:30PM (2nd Shift) Monday - Friday 

Purpose:   The Warehouse Lead, in conjunction with Supervisor, is responsible for ensuring that the daily shipping & receiving functions are met.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks  

1. General Policy

1. Perform all duties of the Warehouse Operator.  
2. Support Supervisor with the shipping & receiving functions in order to meet the daily department requirements.
3. Direct and assist the warehouse operators with the completion of daily projects.
4. Must be knowledgably of all the warehouse procedures and verify and approve the material pulled by the warehouse personnel to fulfill the sales orders.
5. Complete the check in/out of inbounds and outbound.
6. Assists with the departments training and completion of training records when needed.
7. Acts as liaison between the office staff and warehouse staff in the absence of the warehouse supervisor or when designated.
8. Assist, when necessary, in the Cycle counting program.
9. Complete and oversee the material movement as indicated in the documented procedure.
10. Assist with Warehouse housekeeping and Equipment maintenance.
11. Complete the Inspection of inbound materials and outbound materials for damages or defects and ensure damages are documented accordingly. 
12. Complete the inspection of returned materials for damages or defects and ensure that these are documented.
13. Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety and environmental control standards.
14. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.
15. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

1. Education:

1. High school diploma or GED required. 
2. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and aptitude to learn new applications.  

1. Experience:

1. 3-5 years warehouse/inventory management experience required
2. Strong knowledge of inventory management processes and systems.
3. Intermediate experience with Windows based applications to include Word and Excel.
4. Demonstrated understanding of warehouse management, inventory management, product flow and productivity standards.
5. 5 plus years and expert level forklift operation.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

Salary : $24 - $28
