About the Role:
The Operations IT Specialist provides front-line and project-based technology support across Rauhorn Electric and affiliated entities, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations in office, warehouse, and field environments. This role is responsible for end-user device deployment, systems administration support, ticket resolution, inventory and asset management, and assisting with IT-driven operational projects. Serving as a primary point of contact for field and office users, the Operations IT Specialist helps keep technology reliable, secure, and easy to use across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
End-User Support & Service Desk:
- Serve as primary support contact for field and office users regarding hardware, software, and mobile device issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide occasional before/after-hours support based on business needs.
- Escalate complex issues to IT leadership or external vendors when necessary.
Device Deployment & Management:
- Configure, image, deploy, and maintain laptops, tablets, phones, and peripherals.
- Manage device lifecycle from provisioning through replacement/retirement.
- Maintain device standards related to performance, security, and user experience.
- Administer mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint management platforms (ex: Intune, Verizon, One-Key).
Inventory & Asset Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all company IT assets.
- Perform regular physical and virtual housekeeping of IT inventory.
- Ensure Verizon portal and other asset systems remain accurate and up to date.
Training & Onboarding:
- Provide IT orientation for new hires:
- Time entry systems.
- Bluebeam and standard applications.
- Ensure new employees receive properly configured devices on or before start date.
Application & Systems Support:
- Provide support and light administration for business systems such as:
- ServiceTitan.
- SafetyHQ.
- Tenna.
Project Support & Implementation:
- Serve as IT project support for new software implementations.
- Partner with departments during system rollouts and transition ownership post-implementation.
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive tasks.
Multi-Entity Support:
- Provide IT assistance for affiliated companies.
- Maintain cameras and assist operations leaders with technical needs.
Requirements:
- 2 years of IT support or operations support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and device management tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
