About the Role:
The Site Checker plays an important role in preparing underground utility job sites for success. You'll be the eyes and ears in the field before construction begins by inspecting sites, confirming materials, ensuring safety compliance, and keeping operations running smoothly. This is a non-union role.
What You'll Do:
- Perform pre-flight inspections to confirm site readiness and identify potential hazards
- Prepare and submit detailed pre-flight reports for construction crews
- Communicate with homeowners of upcoming work
- Coordinate with project management, field supervision, and supply chain teams to schedule pre-flights and deliveries
- Load and organize materials each morning: wire, conduit, transformers, and tools
- Pick up and deliver materials from vendors as needed
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop and yard environment
- Provide general support to field and operations teams to keep jobs on schedule
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a construction environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Experience in underground utility distribution work (preferred)
