Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering (Masters preferred)
3 years of geotechnical engineering experience (consulting environment preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
Proficiency with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, LPILE, or equivalent
Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for field work
Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical investigations, including field exploration and laboratory testing programs
Analyze soil, rock, groundwater, and geologic data to assess subsurface conditions
Prepare geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and pavements
Design shallow and deep foundation systems, retaining walls, and ground improvement techniques
Perform slope stability, settlement, and bearing capacity analyses
Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams
Oversee field work and construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
SALARY And BENEFITS
Salary range of $80,000-$100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
