About the role:
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Metro Detroit area that is investing in its production capabilities and engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys working close to the floor, improving machining processes, and supporting new product launches in a fast-paced production environment.
This position offers the chance to make a direct impact on throughput, quality, and operational performance while working with automated machining systems and experienced production teams.

What You’ll Do
- Support and optimize CNC machining operations, with a focus on turning and milling processes
- Lead process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve cycle times
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions on the shop floor
- Support new product launches from concept through production ramp-up
- Work closely with operators, technicians, and maintenance to ensure stable production
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and tooling standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity
- Participate in equipment and tooling selection for new and existing programs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Strong manufacturing engineering experience in CNC machining
- Experience supporting CNC machining in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on troubleshooting and process improvement experience
- Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and communicate with production teams
- Familiarity with automation, fixtures, tooling, and production workflows
