Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily paratransit operations and ensure service is delivered safely and efficiently.
- Supervise and support drivers while they are in service.
- Conduct field observations and provide coaching and guidance to operators.
- Respond to accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, vehicle breakdowns, and other service disruptions.
- Ensure drivers follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with on-road troubleshooting and service recovery.
- Communicate service issues and operational updates to dispatch and management.
- Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections as needed.
- Complete required reports, incident documentation, and operational paperwork accurately and on time.
- Assist with driver attendance, performance, and operational concerns.
- Monitor adherence to schedules, routes, and passenger service requirements.
- Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with appropriate personnel when needed.
- Promote excellent customer service and professionalism among the operations team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in public transportation, paratransit, passenger transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or service disruptions.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic and written reports.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, or other shifts based on operational needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and move around vehicles and transportation facilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond quickly to operational and safety situations.
- Ability to perform duties in and around buses, vans, and other transit vehicles.
