- Perform preventative maintenance on and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, painting, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
- Inspects and maintain building infrastructure, including doors, windows, roofing, flooring, and structural components.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment such as air compressors, generators, pumps, lifts, and shop equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Responds to facility emergencies, equipment failures, and work order requests.
- Maintain transit facility grounds, parking areas, fencing, and other exterior infrastructure as assigned
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors during maintenance and repair projects.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with facility improvement and renovation projects.
- Support snow removal, storm preparation, and other emergency response activities as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required
- A valid South Carolina Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field required.
- Technical or vocational training in building maintenance or a related trade required.
- Experience in commercial building maintenance, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
