What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney position at Rashtian Law Group, APC?
Rashtian Law Group is a litigation-focused law firm representing individuals in complex employment and personal injury matters throughout California. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented litigation to join either our employment and/or personal injury practice. This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all phases of litigation, including:
- Client intake and case evaluation
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
- Provide strategic advice to clients with empathy and clarity
- Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with team members on more complex cases
Manage employment matters including (as applicable):
- Engage in pre-litigation efforts, including demand letters, negotiations, and mediations
- Represent employees in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and employment contract disputes
- Advocate for clients before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, and Department of Labor
Manage personal injury matters including (as applicable):
- Represent individuals in involved in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability actions, and related claims
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 3 years of litigation experience
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills
- Excellent writing, legal research, and oral advocacy abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload
