Essential Functions
Preparation
- Understand and deliver job requirements of requisitions
- Complete a site visit prior to every job to ensure Site Readiness Inspection complete, documented and reported
- Assign job to Meet Truck Team and/or coordinate with local Terminal Manager to assign a Team
- Establish and communicate delivery date with GE, Meet Truck Team and local Terminal Manager
- Preparation of all delivery/installation documentation
- Visit job site for every delivery to ensure standards are met
- Confirm product delivery. Manage late or no-show product deliveries.
- Confirm Meet Truck Team arrival and adequately staffed. Manage late or no-show Team arrivals.
- Communicate all activities with Site Supervisor.
- Confirm job completion and punch list review with Site Supervisor
- Punch list work order processed
- Order replacement product
- Site readiness for next building as necessary
- Coordinate resources with Local Terminal Manager for job trash handling and damage product handling
- Submit billing to GE
- Submit driver settlement to contractors
- Ensure all meet truck teams are educated and capable of completing job to customer’s expectation.
- Manage relationships associated with Meet Truck Deliveries
- Site Supervisors
- GE MAT Teams
- Local Operations Managers
- Meet Teams/Meet Team Contract Holders
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises the Meet Truck processes with oversight of carrier partners
- Strong working knowledge of general policies, procedures, and practices related to contractor management and of specific regulations within the home delivery and transportation industry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Well-developed negotiation, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills indicative of an ability to lead, motivate, and guide others. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop business solutions that benefit the company.
- Flexibility and resilience, including the ability to adapt to changing, uncertain, or ambiguous situations. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a win-win orientation.
- Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines, pay attention to detail and be a hands-on, creative results-oriented internal resource to the business. Emphasis on being proactive and showing initiative and self-direction to accomplish daily tasks is required.
- Regular travel to job sites and other company locations may be required.
- Must be able to pass a background screen and a drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Proficiency with Windows based applications including Excel and Word is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related experience and/or training in similar business or field with at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in the areas described above.
- Some travel may be required
