What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saturday Scale House Clerk position at Raptor Recycle and Transfer?
Raptor Recycle and Transfer is currently looking for a Scale Clerk to work at our transfer station on Saturdays. In this position you will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and also interacting with the public. You must have excellent customer service, good computer skills, and cash handling experience. Bi-lingual preferred.
Responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Be available on Saturdays from 7:00am- 3:00pm.
- Happily greet and direct all customers upon entry of the transfer station.
- Weigh incoming loads and print weight tickets
- Answering phone calls and providing information or transferring to appropriate staff member in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
- Track weight information from scale to computer system and obtain appropriate signatures.
- Review cameras to ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any visible inappropriate material.
- Accepting or rejecting loads based on content.
- Assist in reconciliation of daily cash and credit card transactions.
- End of day reporting by printing reports to send to upper management.
- Ensure that customers are aware of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Provide general upkeep of the scale house.
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.
- Perform other job duties as needed.
This position is part-time. Saturday availability is a must. This is a great supplemental, part-time position. Come be part of our team!
