Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL development to support critical business applications and data initiatives within a leading financial services organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions in asset management, investment management, capital markets, or banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database solutions.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.
- Analyze and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement optimization strategies.
- Support data integration, transformation, and validation processes.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and application development teams to gather and understand requirements.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to database development best practices.
- Assist in production support activities, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for database objects and processes.
- Participate in database design discussions and data modeling activities.
Required Skills
- 10 years of hands-on Database Development experience.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL development.
- Advanced SQL programming and query optimization skills.
- Experience developing Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, and Triggers.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with data modeling and relational database concepts.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Management, Capital Markets, or Banking.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and databases.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting solutions.
