Jr. Database Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Database Developer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our corporate finance team by maintaining and enhancing database applications for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications to support the Client Actuarial department.
• Implement new features and automate reporting requirements for efficient data management.
• Ensure successful monthly data loads into the data warehouse and create control processes for accuracy.
• Translate complex business and actuarial requirements into programming specifications and technology solutions.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Oracle database applications.
  
  
  

Skills

• Proficiency in Oracle databases (11g/19c) including SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Linux OS and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on validating and proofing deliverables.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with scheduling tools such as ESP/Stonebranch UAC.
• Knowledge of MS-Access and Python programming.
• Business knowledge of life insurance products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
