What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator II position at Rapides Parish Civil Service?
Under close supervision, operates trucks and medium to heavy equipment used in road and drainage construction and maintenance work.
Available for recall to work after normal working hours due to emergency situations
Knowledge/Skills
Valid Vehicle operator’s permit minimum CDL Class A required with necessary endorsements for certain equipment operation.
Education/Experience
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Four (4) years experience in operating two or more of the following types of equipment: dump trucks, backhoes, tractors, and specialty equipment.
