OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a vigilant, alert, and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate must maintain a professional appearance, remain alert while on duty, and wear the complete company uniform at all times. Responsibilities include monitoring assigned locations, controlling access, conducting patrols, reporting incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of the client, employees, and property. Assigned work locations are monitored through our GPS geofencing timekeeping system, and employees are required to clock in and out while physically present at their assigned post - PART-TIME, 30 HOURS PER WEEK, 6:30AM-12:30PM.
UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises by patrolling property, inspecting perimeter, equipment and access points permitting entry
- Enforce property regulations and guidelines
-Complete incident reports by recording observations, information, occurrences
-Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
SECURITY OFFICER / UNARMED GUARD / SECURITY GUARD REQUIREMENTS:
-Valid NYS Security Guard License
-High School Diploma / GED required
-Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
-Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
-Military experience a plus
-Protective security experience a plus
