Join Us in Britton, SDPicture your first week: you step onto the shop floor in Britton, South Dakota, meet a tight-knit team, and take on a new customer print. You estimate material, feeds and speeds, cycle time, tooling, and fixturing to build a solid quote. By afternoon, you are refining a milling toolpath, setting up the machine, and running a first article that meets exacting client specs.What your days look likeTranslate engineering drawings into efficient CNC milling programs and continuously refine them for quality and throughput.Set up and operate CNC milling machinery, selecting and installing the right tooling and fixtures for the job.Quote new parts from customer prints by determining materials, evaluating feeds/speeds and cycle times, and defining tooling and fixturing needs.Keep a close eye on machine performance; adjust offsets, paths, and parameters to maintain precision and efficiency.Perform routine checks and light preventive maintenance to keep equipment running at peak capability.Partner with engineering and production to troubleshoot issues and remove bottlenecks.Document production runs, tooling changes, and maintenance activities with accuracy and consistency.Champion safety protocols and contribute to a safe, organized work environment.What you bringHigh school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or CNC programming certification is preferred.3–5 years of CNC programming experience focused on milling operations.Strong command of G-code and M-code.Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools (GibbsCam preferred) and hands-on CNC machine setup.Sharp problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics with confidence.Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team-centered setting.LocationThis position is based in Britton, SD.
