Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paint Line Lead to oversee daily operations of our powder coat line. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on powder coating experience and demonstrated leadership ability. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes, maintaining production flow, enforcing safety standards, and leading team members to meet production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the powder coat line.
- Train, coach, and support paint line team members.
- Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure production goals are met.
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces for powder coating applications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens.
- Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently according to specifications, as needed.
- Inspect finished products to ensure proper thickness, adhesion, and uniform finish.
- Perform quality control checks and document results as required.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of powders and related materials.
- Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or quality problems to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Enforce PPE compliance and safe work practices at all times.
- May assist in other departments or perform additional duties as assigned based on production needs.
Paint Line Lead – Powder Coat Line Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of powder coating equipment and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow production procedures and safety guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of powder coating experience (lead experience preferred).
- Experience working with various metal materials and parts while meeting production specifications.
- Proficiency operating spray guns, powder booths, and curing ovens.
- Experience performing quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Essential Job Duties & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, and move parts up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift and position parts above shoulder level.
- Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as needed.
- Push and pull racks or carts loaded with parts.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while spraying and handling parts.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, fumes, dust, and noise.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirator, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet production demands.

There is an opportunity to earn a sign-on perfect attendance bonus of $250 at 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days. Total potential sign-on bonus is $1,000.00
