Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch transport vehicles efficiently to meet scheduling demands
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, bookings, and updates
- Monitor driver locations and trip statuses to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and internal staff via phone, radio, or digital platforms
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched trips, customer interactions, and service logs
- Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Support daily operations by coordinating route planning and resource allocation
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or transportation coordination preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and basic office tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a customer-first attitude
- Must be located in or able to commute to Cedar Rapids, IA
