Overview
Ranor, Inc is a large-scale fabrication and machining supplier. Our current focus is on defense-related products in support of Navy submarine components.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support logistics operations within our precision fabrication & machining environment. This role is responsible for the accurate handling, documentation, and movement of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and defense-related requirements.
Duties Include
- Receive incoming materials, components, and supplies; verify accuracy against packing slips, purchase orders, and certifications
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, completeness, and compliance with documentation requirements
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with customer specifications and company standards
- Generate and maintain shipping documentation (packing lists, bills of lading, certifications, etc.)
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight providers) to ensure timely and secure deliveries
- Monitor and requisition stockroom inventory when needed.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth material flow
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving areas
- Support audits and compliance activities related to ISO/AS9100 standards

Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems or inventory tracking software is a plus
- Ability to read and understand packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- U.S. Citizenship (required for government defense contracts and ITAR compliance)
