What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Operations Engineer position at Ranger Technical Resources?
Position Summary:
Our partner is a growing Managed IT Services organization that helps small and mid-sized businesses, nonprofits, and government contractors keep their technology environments secure, reliable, and running smoothly. As the company continues to grow and promote engineers internally, they're looking for another technical professional to join a team where career progression is part of the culture.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems while continuously improving how IT support is delivered. The team values engineers who naturally ask whether an issue can be documented better, automated, or prevented altogether. You'll support a variety of Microsoft-based client environments, work directly with end users, and contribute to creating repeatable processes that help the entire organization operate more efficiently.
The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused. One day may involve troubleshooting Microsoft 365 or Active Directory issues, while the next could include deploying new workstations, resolving networking problems, improving documentation, or creating a simple PowerShell automation. It's an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to continue growing within a company that invests in its people.
