Operations Director

Overview:

Ranger Land Systems, Inc. is a growing company, and we are seeking a competent and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As the Director of Operations, you will oversee and manage all operational aspects of the company. Key responsibilities will include devising strategies and formulating policies to ensure that all departments meet their goals.

The Director of Operations will serve as a senior executive leader responsible for ensuring operational excellence and mission readiness across all government and defense contracting activities. This role requires deep expertise in federal contracting environments, exceptional strategic judgment, and the ability to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary operations. The Director of Operations will ensure enterprise efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with long‑term organizational strategies that enhance performance, productivity, and profitability within a highly regulated government landscape.

Objectives of this Role

• Partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer and PMO leadership to provide operational oversight, serving as the primary liaison to senior management, government clients, and critical program stakeholders.
• Ensure operational and business development initiatives remain fully aligned with federal acquisition strategies, agency requirements, and long‑term corporate goals.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational processes, contract execution, and service delivery across government programs.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, government representatives, and industry partners to support transparent communication and effective mission execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of daily operations supporting government and defense programs, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Establish operational priorities and make executive decisions that advance organizational growth, operational efficiency, and program profitability.
• Oversee procurement operations, supply chain activities, and vendor management to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods and services to government clients.
• Review financial performance, cost structures, and contract metrics to inform strategic actions and ensure alignment with government contracting requirements.
• Develop long‑range operational strategies that support corporate objectives while remaining responsive to federal mission needs and evolving regulatory demands.
• Implement and maintain operational performance standards, KPIs, and governance frameworks to ensure efficiency, compliance, and execution excellence.
• Identify operational risks across contract portfolios and implement robust risk‑mitigation strategies to safeguard contract performance and organizational stability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ten or more years of executive leadership experience within government or defense contracting organizations.
• Strong technical and operational acumen, supported by exceptional leadership presence, integrity, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the defense contracting lifecycle, to include acquisition processes, compliance requirements, federal regulations, and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategically at the enterprise level, navigate complex government environments, and drive mission‑focused operational excellence.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
