Job Summary
The Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating bindery equipment to produce printed products to customer specifications in a timely fashion to meet production schedules.
Specific Job-Related Duties
- Operates one or more pieces of bindery equipment including, but not limited to, stitcher/trimmer, cutter, folder, collator, and shrink wrapper.
- Learns and follows all job specifications called out on the job ticket.
- Helps other team members set up bindery machines as needed.
- Watches for quality issues on jobs as they operate the bindery machines.
- Notifies teammates in other departments of any quality or specification issues discovered.
- Transfers finished product to the next process in production.
- Assists in off-loading and packaging product to shipping as needed.
- Does their part in keeping the work area neat, clean, and organized.
