- Exp with formulation and manufacturing process development for sterile liquid drug products, including solutions, emulsions, and suspensions.
- Formulation and process development exp needed for this role
- Independently design exp and carry them out

- Hands on exp in lab to take care of formulation operations

- Experience with analytical measurements and characterization techniques such as pH, osmolality, viscosity/rheology, turbidity, particle size, and physical appearance.
- Primary early formulation and process development (elements of tech transfer but this will be early phase)
- Sterile liquid product development in eyecare space
- Experience with various sterilization techniques for liquid drug products, such as filtration, and autoclaving, is needed
- Evaluation of formulation in terms of characterization techniques
- Data Analysis work
- Exp in pharma or consumer product development
- Characterization exp on analytical side is a plus
- Pharma industry exp needed
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC (with detectors such as UV, PDA, and RI) is a plus
JOB SUMMARY:
- The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of formulation and manufacturing process development for sterile liquid drug products, including solutions, emulsions, and suspensions.
- Experience with various sterilization techniques for liquid drug products, such as filtration, and autoclaving, is desired.
- The candidate should have experience with analytical measurements and characterization techniques such as pH, osmolality, viscosity/rheology, turbidity, particle size, and physical appearance.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC (with detectors such as UV, PDA, and RI) is also desired.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential responsibilities of this position include:
- Conducting laboratory experiments for development of pharmaceutical products, with focus on sterile liquid dosage forms under supervision and guidance of the group members.
- Conducting analytical & characterization experiments to generate scientifically sound data supporting the formulation and manufacturing process development efforts of liquid dosage forms.
- Designing & interpreting experiments independently whenever the situation demands.
- Employing problem-solving and creative scientific skills.
- Working independently to generate accurate, reliable data on time and accurately documenting in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Practicing good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Upon assignment given by the team, the candidate will independently plan and execute lab-scale experiments related to sterile liquid formulation and manufacturing process development.
- Prompt and accurate documentation of experiments, results, and conclusions to ensure data integrity and accuracy is critical.
- The candidate independently analyzes and interprets technical data and utilizes statistical techniques as needed.
- Additional responsibilities include proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation to ensure laboratory operational capability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy, or other relevant scientific discipline with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or a master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy or other relevant scientific discipline with 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills. Must be proficient using Word, Excel, and statistical software. Knowledge of fundamental application of statistics is preferred.
- Experience in analyzing data and writing technical reports is desired.
