The Opportunity
Position: Contractual QC Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon–Fri, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Training: Initial training will take place on the 1st shift for the first few weeks.
Location: St. Louis, MO (63110)
What You’ll Do
Laboratory Testing: Perform essential tests including pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and titrations on raw materials and blended chemical intermediates.
Production Inspection: Head out to the production floor to manually inspect finished goods for fill weight, cap torque, labels, and lot coding.
Data Management: Document all test and inspection results in both paper and electronic formats, entering data into the quality database.
Investigations: Support quality investigations by reviewing documentation, retesting samples, and inspecting components for nonconformances.
Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with production staff and management to maintain high-quality standards.
What You Bring to the Table
Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (or equivalent work experience).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic lab techniques, analytical instruments, and Microsoft Office.
Reliability: Because this role is integral to production, consistent attendance and dependability are mandatory.
Physical Ability: Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs in an industrial environment.
Preferred Knowledge: Experience with ISO-9001, FDA, EPA, or OSHA regulations is a major plus!

Responsibilities
Performs basic lab tests (pH, specific gravity, viscosity, titrations) on raw materials and batches and fill line samples.
• Calculates batch adjustments as needed. • Inspects packaging lines for conformance to specifications for fill weight, cap torque, labels and label placement, lot coding etc.
• Documents test and inspection results on both paper and electronic forms.
• Enters test results into quality database.
• Reviews and maintains production records and files.
• Inspects finished goods and received components for release.
• Document & report quality complaints and nonconformances.
• Maintains attention to detail and professional integrity.
• Communicates effectively with both production staff and management.
• Maintains an on-time schedule and attendance.
• Knowledge of basic quality concepts: Specification limits, Control limits, Mean, Standard Deviation, Control Charts and Normal Distribution.
• Attendance and on-site presence is essential due to the integral to production nature of this position. Like all other production support positions, this role operates under an attendance point system. Points are issued for lateness or absence; if a certain number is accrued, disciplinary action or termination may result
