Our client is looking for an energetic, proactive, and "hands-on" Customer Service Representative to join their team. This is not a passive desk job; we need someone who stays on top of all moving parts across the facility and always knows exactly where things stand.
To succeed in this role, you must be a strong communicator who is prompt and professional via email but isn’t afraid to pick up the phone to get things done. You must be willing to walk out onto the production floor to find answers and ensure customer needs are met. Responsibilities
Customer Communication: Greet customers, handle inquiries, and manage all correspondence with a high degree of professionalism. Monitor emails constantly and respond promptly; ensure no customer request goes unanswered.
Order Management: Enter customer orders into the system accurately and efficiently. Track order status and communicate delivery updates proactively.
Production Liaison: Walk the production floor to check status, locate orders, and communicate customer requests, rush orders, or changes directly to the production team.
Shipping & Logistics: Generate shipping documents for UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments.
Inventory & Receiving: Receive incoming materials using company software and assist with month-end inventory reports.
Documentation & Compliance: Record customer complaints via phone/email, maintain filing systems (including year-end purges), and support ISO 9001 document control requirements.
General Support: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the team.
