responsibilities:

• Tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
• Sectioning tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
• Performing routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
• Whole slide scanning
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Ensuring quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
• Collaborating with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects

qualifications:

• Experience with microtomy, tissue processing, embedding and staining
• Experience histology sectioning (2 years)
• Bachelors degree in histotechnology or a related field
• ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
