Mental Health Clinician

• Location: 174 Prospect Place, Brooklyn, NY 11238
• Annual salary: $63,530.19–$66,173.38
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4 PM–12 AM, with flexibility for a 3 PM Wednesday staff meeting and training
• Education: Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or a related field
• Preferred qualifications: LMSW or LMHC; relevant clinical or internship experience

Key responsibilities

• Clinical assessment: Conduct mental health evaluations, mental status examinations, psychosocial assessments, intakes, and diagnostic assessments using the DSM as applicable.
• Therapy and counseling: Provide individual psychotherapy, counseling, substance use counseling, therapeutic groups, and evidence-based interventions.
• Crisis intervention: Assess risks, implement crisis prevention strategies, deliver trauma-informed interventions, and coordinate emergency services when necessary.
• Case management and care coordination: Develop individualized service plans, coordinate referrals, collaborate with psychiatric and primary care providers, and engage collateral contacts.
• Housing and community support: Assist with housing placement, benefits applications, apartment maintenance, activities of daily living, and community-based appointments.
• Documentation and compliance: Maintain progress notes, assessments, service plans, benefit forms, and database records in accordance with agency and funder requirements.
• Team leadership: Provide clinical guidance, support team meetings, conduct training, review policies, and supervise student interns where applicable.

Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required

Relevant pre or post master’s or internship experience preferred.

LMSW, LMHC, preferred.
