(Freelance) Junior Digital Copywriter

We are a global beauty brand seeking a freelance Junior Digital Copywriter, to join their NYC team! This position will write copy for digital/social assets, as well as smaller campaigns across all platforms and touchpoints, promotional programs, and other requests as assigned. This role will work closely with the social team, ideating and proofing on-asset copy in addition to drafting social captions for various campaigns. Additionally, candidates will write product copy and digital assets for new launches and collaborate with the digital team to ensure product information is up to date on the brand website.

Note* this role requires on-site presence 4 days/week in our Soho offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write copy and content across all consumer touchpoints bringing campaigns and consumer experiences to life through words
• Work closely with creative team to craft content strategy that supports brand mission and business objectives
• Collaborate with social team to contribute on-asset copy and social captions
• Ensure timelines, deliverables, brand voice, copy standards (ie. style, proofreading, factchecking, regulatory guidelines) of the highest quality
• Work cross functionally to get all copy approved by legal, product development, and product marketing
• Create copy for a variety of collateral including brand.com, retailer.com, VM, product names, program names, emails, invites, social media, and in⁃store, events

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or BFA required in related field
• 2-5 years of relevant agency or in-house experience with a focus on digital⁃first content creation (publishing, journalism, branded content)
• Highly organized & adept at balancing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Collaborative and able to work exceptionally with internal and external teams
• Experience with social media with a strong sense of what’s trending
• Exceptional writing, factchecking & proofreading skills with an uncompromised attention to detail
• Ability to thrive and be self-motivated in a fast⁃paced environment
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• A deep understanding and curiosity of digital platforms (current and emerging) consistently remaining up to date with trends and culture
• Demonstrates agility and flexibility
• Familiarity with Figma and/or Dash Hudson an added plus!
