Piping Cost Estimator

Seeking a Piping Cost Estimator for a high growth HVAC company in the Leominster, MA area.

The Piping Cost Estimator is responsible for providing cost estimates and material/labor take offs working closely with engineers and field personnel. Reviews project drawings for the purpose of developing a budget, maintains and organizes department RFQ tracking system along with tracking all installation department sales data. As required, maintains current pricing updates in parts database.

responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Conducts detailed cost analysis to estimate expected project expenses and maintains the estimation tool for accuracy.
• Proposal Development: Assembles comprehensive written proposals that detail the specific scope of work.
• Budgeting: Prepares and implements project budgets based on finalized estimates.
• Material Take-offs: Performs material take-offs to facilitate accurate ordering as required.
• Quoting Log Management: Oversees the department quoting log, documenting key metrics throughout the quoting process.
• Lead Follow-up: Conducts follow-up calls to confirm receipt of proposals and schedule review meetings.
• Sales Tracking: Monitors and tracks sales costs for all awarded projects.
• Database Maintenance: Manages the parts database, ensuring commonly used components are up to date.
• Document Organization: Organizes all pre-job documentation received from the engineering team.
• Task Delegation: Defines specific project tasks and delegates them to the appropriate team members.
