Job Summary
Randstad is seeking a high-caliber SRE / DevOps Lead to join a mission-critical team for a major client in the transportation sector located in Washington, D.C. This hybrid role is designed for a technical leader who thrives in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, where you will drive the integration of security and reliability into cloud-native workflows. You will be responsible for spearheading the transition toward automated, secure CI/CD pipelines and zero-downtime deployment strategies using AWS and Python CDK. As a pivotal member of a self-organizing Agile team, you will balance deep technical execution-such as infrastructure automation and Dynatrace observability-with strategic participation in Program Increment (PI) planning and local ceremonies in the D.C. area.

Responsibilities
Pipeline & Deployment Leadership: Design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeSuite (Pipeline, Build, Deploy), focusing on blue/green deployment patterns for zero-downtime releases.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning utilizing Python-based AWS CDK and Terraform.
Observability & Monitoring: Integrate and optimize Dynatrace Observability across various applications to ensure peak system performance and reliability.
Security Integration (DevSecOps): Lead the "shift-left" security initiative by integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA scanning tools into automated build and deployment workflows.
Vulnerability Management: Proactively monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure and application layers to ensure compliance with NIST/OWASP frameworks.
Agile Participation: Embrace SAFe methodology by actively participating in capacity planning, iteration commitments, and mandatory onsite PI ceremonies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional development and operations teams to enforce secure coding standards and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
Deep AWS Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with core AWS services, including IAM, EC2, Lambda, S3, and CloudFormation.
Automation Proficiency: Advanced skills in Python, specifically for infrastructure automation via AWS CDK and Terraform.
Security Tooling: Experience with security platforms such as Checkmarx and SonarQube, and a strong understanding of cloud governance.
Observability Background: Professional experience managing and configuring the Dynatrace Observability platform.
Methodology & Soft Skills: Prior experience working within a SAFe environment; must be comfortable with "camera-on" collaboration and self-management principles.
Location/Travel: Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Washington, D.C., with the flexibility to attend in-person PI ceremonies and other essential onsite events.
Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP), or CISSP.
