Job Summary

Seeking a senior-level Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, cloud-native architectures across modern enterprise systems. This role focuses on securing microservices, APIs, and DevSecOps pipelines while ensuring compliance with established cybersecurity frameworks. Ideal candidates bring strong experience in cloud security, IAM, and Zero Trust, along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred)
• Lead security architecture strategy across microservices and distributed systems
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for complex environments
• Secure APIs, containers, and microservices-based applications
• Implement and manage cloud security controls and CSPM tools
• Integrate security into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
• Define and enforce IAM and Zero Trust frameworks
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF)
• Analyze business requirements and translate into secure technical solutions
• Develop security standards, architecture documentation, and best practices
• Partner with engineering, cloud, and business teams to improve security posture
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in information security and systems architecture
• Strong experience designing secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred)
• Deep knowledge of NIST 800-53 and cybersecurity frameworks (TCF or similar)
• Expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling and risk analysis
• Experience securing microservices, APIs, and containerized environments
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools
• Experience integrating security into DevSecOps / CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must CURRENTLY reside in Austin, Texas

• Experience with AI / LLM security and data pipelines
• Knowledge of data protection (PII, PHI, sensitive data)
• Experience presenting to executive stakeholders
• Experience developing security policies and standards
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Security
