A 30-year Mid-Coast Maine waterfront institution is about to be reborn. We are looking for the culinary leader who wants to help build its next chapter.
Randcom 24 is conducting a confidential search for an Executive Chef / Food & Beverage Director to lead the culinary and food-and-beverage operations of a landmark waterfront hospitality property in Mid-Coast Maine.
For approximately three decades, the property was a well-known and well-loved part of the local waterfront dining community. It has been shuttered for the past year and is now preparing to reopen with new investment, new energy and a much broader vision.
This is not a conventional Executive Chef opening.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial chef and hospitality operator who wants to build something—someone excited to help restart a local legend, rebuild its culinary identity, recruit a first-class team and create the operating culture for its next generation.
The Scale
Across its restaurant, waterfront dining, outdoor, bar, private-event and related hospitality areas, the property can accommodate up to approximately 400 guests at full utilization.
The opportunity extends beyond a traditional dining room and includes:
- High-volume waterfront dining
- Significant bar and beverage operations
- Outdoor and seasonal service
- Weddings, private events and corporate functions
- Specialized hospitality programs
- Additional concepts and future revenue opportunities
The Person
The right candidate will combine culinary leadership with strong business discipline and be comfortable taking ownership of:
- Menu and culinary development
- BOH operations and systems
- Food, labor and inventory controls
- Purchasing and vendor relationships
- Bar and beverage economics
- Restaurant P&L and margin performance
- Recruiting, training and team development
- High-volume events and group programming
Experience in high-volume, waterfront, resort, hotel, destination or seasonal hospitality is particularly relevant. Maine or broader New England culinary relationships are highly desirable.
