PLEASE APPLY DIRECTLY AT THE RANCHO CHRISTIAN WEBSITE Job Description: Senior Accountant Rancho Community Church & School Title: Senior Accountant Supervisor: COO/CEO Classification: Exempt - (5 days a week in office) Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all daily accounting operations and financial reporting for Rancho Community Church & School. Provides day-to-day operational support under the direction of the COO and collaborates directly with the CEO on special projects, economic strategy, banking activities, and annual budget planning. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records in accordance with GAAP, nonprofit regulations, and internal policies. Reporting directly to the COO, this position provides financial leadership, strategic insight, and operational oversight while supervising accounting staff and supporting the organization’s mission. Spiritual Qualifications: Demonstrate a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. Seek to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability, and service to His Kingdom. Professional Qualifications: Degree in Finance or Accounting required Several years of experience in accounting or a related financial position. Experience in a non-profit setting is desired. Possess strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting. Possess strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Sage Intacct and Martus experience a plus. Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral Ability to work with staff to develop procedures and solve process problems Ability to multitask and handle interruptions Possesses detail-oriented characteristics Possess a professional demeanor Possess strong organizational skills Possess strong problem-solving skills Ability to perform tasks and follow through on
