Ranchand Welding and Fabrication Inc. is hiring full-time Oilfield Laborers / Roustabouts to support oil and gas field operations across Carlsbad, NM, Andrews, TX, and the Permian Basin. This is a hands-on opportunity for dependable, safety-minded candidates with oilfield, construction, industrial, pipeline, or general labor experience, as well as motivated entry-level applicants ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced field environment.
About the Role
Join a hardworking team supporting the backbone of the energy industry. The Oilfield Laborer / Roustabout helps keep field operations safe, organized, and productive by assisting with equipment handling, rig-up and rig-down, site preparation, maintenance, pipeline support, and general labor tasks. This role offers the opportunity to build valuable hands-on experience while working outdoors in variable weather and terrain on essential oil and gas infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with setup, operation, rig-up, and rig-down of equipment on oilfield locations
· Support installation, maintenance, and repair activities related to oilfield equipment, rigs, flowlines, pipelines, and site infrastructure
· Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, carrying, digging, trenching, cleaning, and moving materials
· Prepare jobsites and maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, vehicles, and equipment
· Assist field crews with daily operations, material handling, and site support needs
· Support pipeline and construction activities, including site prep, material staging, and basic maintenance tasks
· Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively; experience around forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
· Conduct basic inspections of equipment and work areas and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
· Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable OSHA and oil and gas industry safety practices
· Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members to support safe, efficient operations
· Travel to job sites and work variable schedules, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
Qualifications
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screening, where permitted by applicable law.
· Previous oilfield, roustabout, construction, industrial, mechanical, pipeline, or general labor experience is preferred but not required
· Experience working around pumps, compressors, generators, pipe, valves, forklifts, or other oilfield and industrial equipment is a plus
· Knowledge of pipeline installation, maintenance, repair, or site support work is beneficial
· Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand tools and power tools are important for success in this role
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, wind, mud, and uneven terrain
· Commitment to safe work practices, including PPE use, hazard awareness, and clear communication
· Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL or tanker endorsement is a plus when driving responsibilities apply
· PEC/Safeland, OSHA 10, H2S, forklift, or other oilfield safety certifications are preferred
· Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
