Position SummaryThe Associate Advisor plays a central role in servicing our client’s day to day, working closely with senior advisors to support individual client relationships from start to finish. This is an in-office, full-time position ideal for someone with 2-4 years of experience in financial services who is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to grow alongside the firm. You'll need to be comfortable working independently on your own tasks while also collaborating closely as part of a small, tight-knit team.
Key Responsibilities• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned client relationships, handling requests promptly and professionally.
• Prepare for client meetings, including agendas, portfolio reviews, financial planning updates, and meeting notes.
• Own follow-up items after client meetings and calls, seeing tasks through to completion without things falling through the cracks.
• Track tasks through to completion and keep workflows moving forward within our CRM (Advyzon), working hand-in-hand with our operations team on new account openings, transfers, contributions, distributions, beneficiary updates, estate settlements, and more.
• Coordinate with custodians such as Fidelity and other outside service providers to resolve client service issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records across our CRM, portfolio management, and financial planning systems.
• Partner with senior advisors on the development and implementation of financial plans and investment recommendations.
• Support new client onboarding, including document collection and account setup.
• Assist with trading and rebalancing operations as needed.
• Quickly learn and adopt new systems, software, and workflows as the firm's technology stack evolves.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as needed to support the team.
QualificationsRequired
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related client-service role.
• Active Series 65 license (or applicable equivalent), or CFP® designation.
• Strong Excel proficiency is a must — comfortable building and working with spreadsheets, formulas, and reports.
• Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational habits and a low tolerance for things slipping through the cracks.
• Strong work ethic paired with a high level of follow-through — you finish what you start.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking directly with clients.
• A relational, personable approach to client service — clients should enjoy working with you.
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload, while also functioning well as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, with a fast learner's ability to pick up new systems and software quickly.
• Very organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage a busy task queue during peak season.
• Able to work full-time, in-office in Sarasota, FL.
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AI systems such as Claude.
• Actively pursuing the CFP® designation.
