Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Product Development Manager located in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with some work from home acceptable. The Product Development Manager will be responsible for managing product development processes from concept to production hand off and will cover RTW, Swim, Occasion, and Denim categories. Daily tasks include daily communication with overseas partners, ensuring timely delivery of samples from proto to SMS, manage production hand-off reviews and materials. Key cross-functional player, with the ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Production, Fashion Design or related field
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as a product developer in the apparel industry, experience in multiple categories a plus
- Experience working with overseas vendors, understanding of product development processes
- Proven track record in the creation and maintaining Bill of Materials, WIP Charts, and style info in an ERP system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and an ERP system required. RLM or PLM is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work within calendar deadlines
