Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, processing retail sales transactions with precision and attention to detail.
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing cash register operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
- Conduct product demos when needed to showcase features and benefits of store merchandise.
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or via other channels.
- Support store operations through basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Assist in supervising team members during shifts, providing guidance on customer service best practices.
- Educate customers on store products through product knowledge sharing and retail store product knowledge initiatives.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred, with a solid understanding of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in a retail environment.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal interaction.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as making change accurately and managing cash drawers confidently.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage customers actively.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge to assist customers effectively and enhance their shopping experience.
