Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform framing, drywall installation, siding, roofing, flooring, tile laying, and fixture installation with precision.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks and assist with fabrication, metal stud framing, and assembly work on-site.
- Conduct construction site activities including caulking, siding installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and general remodeling.
- Follow construction estimating procedures and ensure all work aligns with safety protocols such as power tool safety standards.
- Support restoration projects involving mold remediation or water damage repair as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for accurate project execution.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking techniques.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machinery, and wood construction materials.
- Knowledge of residential carpentry including trim carpentry, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry, and flooring.
- Familiarity with construction plans for framing, roofing, siding, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or restoration projects.
- Understanding of power tool safety protocols along with experience operating woodworking machines safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fabrication or assembly tasks.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of site safety standards including scaffolding and rebar installation.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes related to wood or metal fabrication is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions accurately for remodeling or restoration projects.
