Position Overview:
We are seeking a Dispatcher/ Assistant to join our operations team. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating drivers, managing freight movements, and ensuring compliance with federal and company safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, decisive, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Director of Operations
- Assign and monitor loads to company drivers and owner-operators.
- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts, providing support and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HAZMAT requirements, and company safety policies.
- Monitor and manage electronic logging devices (ELDs), including Hours of Service compliance.
- Utilize platforms such as Omnitracs and SkyBitz to track and report shipments.
- Coordinate with customers, brokers, and operations staff to resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain accurate load, driver, and equipment records.
- Support emergency response protocols in case of incidents.
Qualifications:
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations (HAZMAT/AA&E experience a plus).
- Proficiency with dispatching platforms (Omnitracs, SkyBitz, PCS software a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday with occasional on-call requirements)
