Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, polishing, and disinfecting surfaces
- Care for floors through proper sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and carpet cleaning techniques to ensure they remain spotless and well-maintained
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are consistently met
- Follow established safety protocols and cleaning procedures to promote a safe environment for guests and staff alike
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold property standards
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels as needed
- Support housekeeping management in inventory control by tracking cleaning supplies and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within hospitality or industrial settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued
- Familiarity with custodial practices and industrial cleaning tools ensures efficiency in daily tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
