As a Materials Associate at RAM Aviation, Space & Defense, you play a vital role in the movement, accuracy, and organization of materials that support our aerospace manufacturing operations. From receiving and verifying incoming shipments to stocking inventory and preparing outgoing orders, your attention to detail ensures that the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You’ll work closely with production and inspection teams to maintain schedule alignment, support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and uphold high standards of organization and documentation. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your work directly contributes to the quality and timeliness of the products we deliver to customers around the world.

As a Materials Associate at RAM Aviation, Space & Defense, you play a vital role in the movement, accuracy, and organization of materials that support our aerospace manufacturing operations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Stock and distribute all purchased and produced materials as required through the computer system
- Interface with the Production Department and Inspection Department for adherence to the production schedule
- Maintain a high standard of inventory organization
- Responsible for cycle counting activities to assure accuracy of inventory levels
- Must be able to use computer to enter inventory data
- Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material
- Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
- Prepare items for shipment
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
- Determine shipping method for materials
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and damages
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Deliver or route materials to other departments
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high attention to detail and multitask
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of computers
- Ability to use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Ability to Lift/Carry 10-50lbs
- Ability to sit and stand constantly
