As an Apprentice Truck Driver, you will be paid while receiving onsite training and professional instruction in a 3:1 student to teacher environment.

No team driving: The only person who will be with you are the RMI Trainers. They will be in the seat next to you the entire time of your training providing you with the safest training possible.

Apprentice Driver Details:
- Cover routes in the Midwest with lanes going to Pennsylvania and Maryland.
- Weekly home-time.
- Out and back routes that can allow for an occasional home time during the week. $79,592 Average Wage for New Drivers in 2025
- $15.00/hr while in the Classroom
- $1,000.00/week while OTR training
- Commission With Guarantee Weekly Minimum - (Upon Successful Completion of Program)
- 24-hour dispatch service.
- On-site maintenance (trucks and trailers).

Job Requirements:
Skills needed to join:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must live within 1 hour of our terminal in Mattawan, MI.
- Meet RMI Driver Qualification Standards.
- Must be able to meet medical qualifications set by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
- An innate sense of direction.
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
- High level of composure and good stress management.
- Verifiable work history and references.
License/Certification:
- Michigan Driver's License (Required)
