3rd Shift CDL-A Yard Spotter

Job Description:
This position works 3rd Shift the following hours:
Thursday 12:30am-6:30am & 6:30pm-6:30am
Friday 6:30pm-6:30am
Saturday 6:30pm-6:30am.
Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly lot to maximize efficiency of plant needs.
• Safely maneuver tractor-trailers at docks for loading and unloading.
• Must interact with plant personnel and comply with plant safety regulations.
• Communicate with and take direction from a supervisor/ plant staff.
• Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner, including but limited to, bills of lading.
• Maintain cleanliness of company-owned equipment.
• Keep tractor and reefers properly fueled at all times.
• Understand and follow all Department of Transportation rules and regulations as well as company policy.
• Complete proper pre and post trip inspections on all equipment per company requirements.
• Comply with all hours-of-service requirements using provided Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) section of the ELD.
• Required to work variable hours that may include additional hours, weekends and during emergency situations.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers and RMI employees.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to pass DOT drug and alcohol tests, including random testing.
• Must meet driver requirements as outlined in company policy.
• Must have a current and valid medical certificate as noted on their motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Ability to safely operate tandem tractor-trailer equipment with 53 ft. trailers in all types of circumstances including intercity, inter-state, and intra-city travel.
• Current Class A CDL commercial driver license.
• 6 months of CDL A experience is required, 2 years is preferred.

Wage Range: 24.00 - 27.00 per hour
