What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a team of AP Specialists — coaching, mentoring, and keeping things moving
- Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations
- Review invoices and subcontractor pay apps for accuracy, coding, and compliance
- Manage payment runs (ACH, checks, wires) and help maximize discounts / avoid penalties
- Play a key role in month-end close and AP aging reviews
- Step in to resolve vendor issues and keep relationships strong
- Identify ways to improve processes and help streamline workflows
Position Requirements
What You Bring
- 7 years of Accounts Payable experience (construction industry highly preferred)
- Experience leading and mentoring a team
- Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and reconciliations
- Comfortable working in accounting systems (Vista Viewpoint preferred) Excel
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Someone who can problem-solve, communicate clearly, and keep things on track
