NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring a Summer Camp Site Director to lead youth baseball and softball camps across Manhattan, NY and New Jersey locations during the 2026 summer season.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, managing staff, ensuring camper safety, and delivering a top-tier youth sports experience. The Site Director serves as the on-site leader and is accountable for creating a positive, structured, and professional camp environment each day.

You will manage a team of 10 coaches and staff, oversee camp execution, and serve as the primary point of contact for parents and leadership.

- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10 staff members
- Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging camp environment
- Execute Mets Camps operational standards and curriculum
- Run staff meetings and set daily expectations
- Communicate professionally with parents and headquarters
- Address challenges in real time with strong decision-making
- Support pre-season efforts including hiring, training, and logistics
- Experienced leader with strong communication skills
- Background managing teams in youth programs, camps, or sports settings
- Passion for working with children and developing staff
- Ability to lead with energy, structure, and accountability
- Strong problem-solving skills and situational awareness
- High level of professionalism and dependability

- July 20–24: West Windsor, NJ (West Windsor Little League)
- July 27–31: Manhattan, NY (Heckscher Ballfields)
- August 3–7: North Caldwell, NJ (Liberty Field)
- August 10–14: Millburn, NJ (Gero Park)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience managing teams or staff
- Familiarity with baseball fundamentals
- Experience working with youth (ages 4–13 preferred)
- Comfortable using technology for operations and communication
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Available for pre-season training and onboarding
- Work outdoors across NYC and New Jersey all summer
