What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time - Certified Peer Support Specialist - Men's Team position at Raleigh Rescue Mission?
Job Type: Part-time - On-Call - Men's Team Pay Range $21.00 - $23.00
Weekend Shifts between the hours of 7am - 6pm
The On-Call Peer Support Specialist must be a servant-leader that is committed to assisting clients (individuals temporarily experiencing homelessness) to become stable and assist each client to obtain jobs, cars and housing.

Responsibilities
- Coaching & encouraging individuals who have experienced some of the following--domestic violence, unemployment, substance abuse, mental health challenges, homelessness.
- Passion for serving & training our Clients (individuals temporarily experiencing homelessness) that live at the Raleigh Rescue Mission.
- Proactively build relationships and encourage clients in the program, including sitting with clients during mealtimes, volunteer activities, and engaging in meaningful conversations
- Provide the first level of client support via phone and desk services and redirect client to the proper channel for follow-up
- Listen to clients, pray with clients, and communicate with the entire Raleigh Rescue Mission team to provide feedback and insight on client status
- Lead fun activities on the floor in the evening and on the weekends
- Train and show clients how to complete chores and respect common spaces, emphasis on doing life skills with clients not just telling them what to do
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Peer support specialist certification, required
- Strong interpersonal communication
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Exceptional customer service to diverse groups of individuals
- Experience discipling or mentoring other people in a Christian context
- Strong administration and data entry experience
- Demonstrated experience documenting client information
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
