Our division provides diverse services across four key domains: DATA, Business Support/Accounting, CRM, and AI Agent, which builds the foundation for leveraging AI across the entire Rakuten organization. Position: Why We Hire As our systems scale continues to expand, robust quality management has become a strategic priority. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to drive improvements in our testing processes and take end-to-end ownership of quality management across Business Support Services. In this role, you will establish and maintain consistent quality standards, working closely with users, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders to build a scalable quality assurance framework that meets evolving business needs. 　 Position Details - Work closely with test engineers and development teams to define and improve the test automation architecture - Design and operate test automation architecture - Design and operate original test automation frameworks - Design and operate CI/CD environments - Assign and review tasks for team members, including outsourced members - Design automated test scripts for UI, API, and web applications - Implement automated test scripts - Operate test automation tools - Verify and analyze test results - Report test results 　 Work Environment The QA team consists of 5 to 10 members and operates in a global environment where both English and Japanese are spoken. Active discussions and exchanges of opinions are encouraged as part of daily QA activities. Regular one-on-one meetings are held to ensure a safe and secure working environment where team members can feel comfortable and supported. 　 Mandatory Qualifications: - Over 3 years of experience in test automation development or implementation - Experience using testing middleware or frameworks in any language is required (e.g., Playwright, JUnit, Test::Unit, unit test, Selenium, Cypress) - Backend knowledge and application testing experience - Experience in designing, developing, and implementing UI and API tests 　 Desired Qualifications: - Experience in test planning, test design, and test implementation - Knowledge of and experience in the internet service industry - Knowledge equivalent to ISTQB Foundation Level - E-commerce domain knowledge - Service-oriented mindset Soft Skills - Proactively involves others to solve problems or improve the situation - Has an inquiring mind for various issues and topics - Has a strong passion for continuous learning in a fast-moving environment - Communicates effectively with various stakeholders as well as other QA team members - Is willing to take on new challenges and drive improvements instead of being satisfied with the status quo - Promotes a team-working culture both within and outside the team 　 Other Information: Additional information on Location Rakuten Crimson House (Head office) Additional information on English Qualification English - Business Level / TOEIC 800 above or possess equivalent abilities Additional information on Japanese Qualification Japanese - Business Level / JLPT N3 and can communicate in Japanese #engineer #applicationsengineer #commerce In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future.
