Description

Our three locations, Grace (Minnetonka), Peace (Minneapolis), and Joy (St. Paul) provide dignity for individuals living with memory loss in a small home-like environment. We provide person-centered care and strive to deliver outstanding customer service to our residents, families, and vendors. 

We are seeking hard-working, positive, and loving Care Partners that want to be part of the Rakhma family.


We currently have part-time sleeper openings at our Minneapolis location as follows:

Week 1: THU SLEEPER 10:40p-7:00a, SAT SLEEPER 10:40p-7:00a  - example dates: Nov 6 and Nov 8

Week 2: SUN SLEEPER 10:40p-7:00a, THU SLEEPER 10:40p-7:00a - example dates: Nov 9 and Nov 13


Unless you wish otherwise, we provide every other weekend off.


You will also be responsible for one On-Call weekend every eight weeks (on an off weekend). This means that you will pick up last minute open shifts from Friday 2:30pm to Monday 7:00am. For being on call, you will receive $100 for the weekend as long as you cover the shifts that become available. You will not have to cover more than 2 shifts in a row unless 1 of them is a sleeper position. It is possible that you could be called in to work on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday overnight. It is also possible that you are not called in at all, in which case, you would still receive the $100 for the weekend. 


You also are able to pick up any open shifts.
 

Job responsibilities: As a sleeper, you will be the 2nd employee on the overnight shift. You will have a bed to sleep in and be responsible to be awake to assist as needed. If covering an awake shift, as a Care Partners you are responsible for resident engagement/activities, caregiving, med passing, housekeeping (cleaning, organizing, deep cleaning), cooking, sometimes snow shoveling, and attending/completing required learning.


All employees accrue Earned Safe and Sick Time.

Enjoy a competitive salary (starting wage dependent upon experience, ability to support multiple homes or pick up additional on-call weekends). Sleeper wages: $12.50/hour Awake starting wages: $18.50 - $23.50/hour (there will be a $1.00 wage increase after approved for med passing).

Requirements

EDUCATION LEVEL: High School diploma or Equivalent. Must be 18 years or older.


EXPERIENCE:

  1. No prior experience or training is required. Care Partner must successfully complete training provided by Rakhma. Dementia experience preferred.
  2. No certification is required, but HHA or CNA certification is welcome. Training in dementia care is provided.
  3. CPs must successfully complete ongoing trainings, provided by Rakhma.
  4. Staff must successfully complete a background check with the Department of Human Services to be eligible for employment.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have reliable transportation and dependable communication methods to ensure punctuality and regular attendance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
