Job Title: Patient Access Representative
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days | 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
Job Type: Local, Contract
Expected Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Details
For Local Candidates Only: $24 - $29/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients and explain procedures related to check-in and documentation
- Collect and process co-payments, deductibles, and balances due; reconcile cash drawer daily
- Assist patients with kiosk check-in and provide technical or process guidance as needed
- Complete the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and update coverage accordingly
- Obtain required signatures on financial and consent forms; scan and file documentation
- Provide counsel on non-covered services and secure ABNs or waivers
- Monitor waiting room flow and keep patients informed about wait times or delays
- Respond promptly to patient concerns and escalate safety risks when needed
- Conduct follow-up registration tasks for inpatients missing key data
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area while protecting PHI
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years current hospital/Urgent Care Access Coordinator experience
- ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY/HIT THE GROUND RUNNING - REQUIRED
- High school diploma required
- REGISTRATION/INSURANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
