Description
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Warehouse Materials Coordinator to support warehouse operations related to inventory storage, space utilization, and materials management. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes, while collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Projects teams to optimize order fulfillment. The successful candidate will operate warehouse equipment, maintain inventory accuracy in SAP, and help identify opportunities to improve storage efficiency and resolve discrepancies, all while adhering to company operating procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Support warehouse operations related to inventory storage and space utilization
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, lift/reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other job-related equipment
- Support shipping and receiving functions, including receipt, picking, packing, and shipping activities aligned with operational procedures
- Ensure accuracy of vendor shipments against POs, identify and report discrepancies, and complete entry and reconciliation in SAP
- Review stocking levels and provide reporting on obsolete and restocked materials, and flag when minimum/maximum levels need adjustment
- Communicate storage facility limitations and capacity concerns to the Warehouse Foreman, along with recommendations to mitigate
- Deliver against Safety, Delivery, Cost, and Quality performance targets
- Verify accuracy of catalogue/inventory numbers, descriptions, quantities, units, and locations, and assist in resolving discrepancies
- Conduct periodic physical inventories
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Projects groups to effectively manage and optimize order fulfillment rate
- Follow company operating procedures and comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Coordinate with Logistics teams and suppliers on pickup times, delivery times, and routing decisions
- Support effective implementation of inventory procedures, controls, and performance indicators for requisition and storage of all warehouse inventory
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, lift/reach trucks, and pallet jacks
- Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory reconciliation processes
- Ability to identify and communicate storage capacity concerns and provide practical recommendations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Experience conducting physical inventory counts
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Supply Chain, Operations, and Projects teams
- Knowledge of or ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety compliance standards
- Strong coordination skills to manage logistics scheduling with suppliers and internal teams
