Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens and landscapes.
Duties
- Install irrigation systems including sprinklers, drip lines, and pumps according to landscape specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance on existing irrigation systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to irrigation equipment and systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for digging, building, and installing components of irrigation systems.
- Collaborate with landscape teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall garden designs.
- Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules as needed for optimal plant health.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.
Experience
- Previous experience in lawn care or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to irrigation installation and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems is a plus.
- Ability to dig trenches, build components, and effectively irrigate various types of gardens and landscapes.
- A commitment to safety practices while working on-site in various outdoor environments.
